A New Day

It's nearly August and the pressure of school is off for the next few weeks, gives me the time to catch up on the things I have been putting off until now! Sadly the problem is now 'now' is here I still don't want to do them! How sad am I?

So to try and keep me sane I decided to update my blog and give it a virtual lick of paint! So here it is the all new 'King Kieran' blog, enjoy!

Hopefully over the summer period I will update and blog the thoughts that I am having.

Letters from God

Found this on Jonny Baker's blog yesterday. I found it really interesting and very thought provoking as to how people see God and their understanding of how faith and relationship with God should work.

I am sure at one point I must have thought that God just created us then left us to get on with it, like a parent who give their child a lego set but with no pictures or plan just the blocks for them to work it out and then comes back later and says that it is all wrong.

After watching this video I searched for more Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip on youtube and found some really interesting stuff.

So what do you think? What does it say about God?

Time?

The saying 'that really does fly when you're having fun!' can be so true. But why then does it still fly when you are not having fun?

Time is such a precious thing that we take for granted so often. We waste so much of it, never give enough of it to friends or family, work tales to much and we never seem to have enough of it!

For a friend of mine that is all he has left and it has made me think, what do I do with my time? Do I really use it wisely? As he has to face the fact that time is slipping away, I ask myself 'what would I do?'.

Why does it take such drastic things for me or others to start to take account for how we use our time. Why do not start living instead of just working or pursing things that will not bring us happiness?

As it comes to Easter and I start to think about Jesus' last days on earth, what must he have been thinking? I think of my friend and I ask myself how can i support him?

Monday Night Live!

Monday nights straight from work it is football! It is something that for me that makes a Monday seem that bit brighter!

There are around 15 of who meet on Monday evenings for a good 'kick-a-around'! And that is what it really can be! As football goes it is probably one the most physical games I have ever played!

Every Monday there a few shady tackles made but all in good spirit! There are a few who forget that you are meant to go for the ball and not the person! I must admit that i am in this group, but hey play hard win hard!

I like to think that we play old skool!

My World view?

Is January that bad?

Speaking to some friends the other day, they told me that statistically January and February are the most depressive months of the year!

I struggled to believe this, for me January is a great time to take stock, to think about the year ahead and to dream dreams! I feel energised in January, I tend to play more sport and make myself busy with the things I want to do.

Am I so different? Is everyone really down in these first 2 months of the new year?

I understand with the days being generally darker that many people can be a tad negative, but is there more to it than that?

As it comes towards the end of the first month of 2008, already time seems to be rushing by.

Every year I tell myself that I will relax a bit more and take life at an easier pace 'there' no need to rush so much!' but every year life just gets busier and the waters keep crashing down!

Are we all just caught up in the rat race?
